Everything is a Weapon- Part One of Three

With a growing outrage to take away firearms weapons from citizens, what exactly will men and women use to defend their homes during a break in? When my arthritic mother was in her late seventies, five men broke down the back door of his her house and took whatever of her belongings they could get away with. Fortunately, she wasn’t home at the time. But if she had been, I don’t like to think what could have happened to her. In her sixties, a gun wielding thug accosted her at a gas station by putting a pistol to her…

Carjacking Defense with Seatbelt Stranglehold

You had to be there to see Grandmaster Law’s carjacking defenses. They were fantastic. I particularly enjoyed those where he used the car’s seatbelt to advantage. Nothing like subduing your attacker with a seatbelt. Really, you had to be there. Grandmaster Law always enjoyed using elements of his immediate surroundings as weapon. He had a talent for such things. And, you should have seen what he could do to an attacker with a set of keys.

Ninja Grandmaster Law Yanks the Rope

Grandmaster Law used to tell us that the older Ninja got, the more dangerous they were. It’s hard to argue with that when you get a look at his forearms and the perfection of his movements. If you don’t believe me, ask the young guy he’s choking.

The New Ninjas

We’re excited to announce the new book The New Ninjas by staff member Ferrel D. Moore, which is available on our site for pre-order.  It will also be listed at Amazon for pre-order as well.  The New Ninja will focus on the evolution of ninjutsu into something never, ever imagined by the old masters.  Although we’ll look ahead to the future, consider that the old staple highly trained Ninja dogs have been replaced by robotic AI.  We now live in a world dominated by the Internet of Things, and where cloud computing can interface with personal objects at a remote…

The Future of Ninja Grandmasters- Part 1 of 2

Are today’s Ninja Grandmasters already outdated?  Do they spend more time polishing their legacy crowns than they do taking the art in newer, more productive directions?  Can Grandmaster Maasaki Hatsumi devise strategies for dealing biometrics, or is he effectively retired? Do any of the current crop of Ninja Grandmasters accept the coming challenges of the machine technologies arrayed against us?  Let me put this another way, why is it that a twelve year old is better at manipulating Facebook than a Ninja grandmaster?  Is it possible that Edward Snow is a better Ninja than Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi? As students…

Ninja Summer Training Camp 2016

Grandmaster Laws with knife

Grandmaster Robert Law of the Geijin Ryu is presenting a Ninja Summer Training Camp this year.  Training with the Grandmaster is in high demand since his art is so little known by the public.  He is secretive about his art and its origins, but it is undeniably both powerful and effective, which is what keeps serious students coming back for more. I have been through many training camps in my lifetime, but none of them ever compared to the intensity of training under Grandmaster Robert Law.  He can be almost insanely intense and focused on teaching, but this extreme…

Elite Ninja Dogs Detect Electronics

Ninja Grandmaster Robert Law was always big on dogs. His skill with obedience training borders on awe inspiring. Although he could train virtually any dog, he loved Rottweilers more than any other. He actually was able to train cats to guard a house. That would be a painful surprise for home intruders. But even Grandmaster Law, to my knowledge, ever saw the full potential of canine training as we see it today. The above video is relatively famous now, but can you believe how amazing it is? Dogs that can sniff out electronics? Don’t pretend like you thought it possible—you…

Steel Wulf: Cyber Ninja – Episode 1/6

The problem with Ninja lore is that there are few good stories- blame it on the fake Ninja secrets thing, but Steel Wulf: Cyber Ninja might just change my opinion on this. Most of us are tired of “old masters” who talk but don’t reveal. We need real people to emulate and learn from like Grandmasters Stephen Hayes, Grandmaster Robert Law and Grandmaster Shoto Tanemura. And we need, to be honest, more than the lecture books that Masaaki Hatsumi cranks out like never ending batches of cookies for a community festival. What we need is real ninja and cyberninja fiction….
